The Shoreditch Festival: Three-days of Free Live Music.

Last weekend, Londoners of every demographic gathered peaceably in Shoreditch Park for the Shoreditch Trust’s ninth annual Shoreditch Festival.

A performance by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and a fireworks display opened the festivities Friday night. Saturday and Sunday featured all-day live music, spoken word, dance and other performances across multiple stages and tents.

The Sunday finale showcased reggae and world music from the main stage, in front of which sprawled hundreds of listeners. Camped out on blankets across the grass, the content crowd soaked in the sun along with the rhythmic, tranquil sounds drifting over the park.- Text and images by Kevin Brosky.
