IN VACANT WAREHOUSES and abandoned homes, parties erupt in London. These "squat parties" start with a sound system and grow from there. Some are small and acoustic while others involve thousands of revelers, live bands and DJs. All are pretty illegal - without permits, violating noise levels and often loaded with drugs.
They are, however, a growing trend in Europe. London seems to throw the most parties, some lasting for more than 24 hours (or until the police show up).
