Maida Vale: Rock Gods and Canal Boats.

FOR MORE THAN 75 years, music has been pumping out of the tony Maida Vale neighborhood in London, home of a famous BBC recording facility. Everyone from the Beatles to the Arctic Monkeys (above) have performed and/ or recorded there.

The area is among London's most affluent areas, home to such musical luminaries as David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, Paul Weller of The Jam, Jarvis Cocker and Bjork. The neighborhood features canal boats in an area known as Little Venice.
